CONCEPT
My brother and sister-in-law asked me to custom design the invitations and program for their summer wedding at Rainy Lake in Minnesota and reception at Lake Panorama in Iowa. They were looking for a personal design that featured views from each of the lakes that they respectively grew up on.
APPROACH
Scott and Grace both sent me photos of the iconic views from Rainy and Panorama, and I created a set of watercolor paintings to use on the invitations. I then paired the paintings with a handwritten touch and finalized the information of the events in grids. When guests received the invitations, they immediately recognized the locations and gained a sense of the atmosphere that they would experience.
